Michael Domer, Board of Directors President

Michael Domer joined the Center’s Board of Directors in June 2013.   His desire to become involved in the Center stemmed from his passion to see youth succeed in the community. As a parent, he saw how supportive the Novato Youth Center is as his daughter Amelia participated in after school care and youth leagues. He saw firsthand as her grades improved and she learned how to be part of team while playing in their basketball league.

Michael has spent his entire career in the hospitality field.   He began working in the restaurant business at 15, and began managing his first restaurant at the age of 19.   His passion for the business led him to Cornell University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree from their School of Hotel Administration. He is currently Director of Operations for Vintage Wine Estates and oversees several wineries in both Sonoma and Napa.

Michael remains active with the Novato Community, and was an active participant in the merger process between the Novato Youth Center and the Novato Human Needs Center. His passion for the newly formed organization inspired him to serve as the first President of the Board of the newly formed North Marin Community Services.  In addition, he also chairs our Executive Committee and has served on multiple committees throughout his tenure with the organization. Michael was Valedictorian of the Novato Leadership class of 2013 and remains active within their alumni organization.

Michael was born and raised in Marin County. He spent 15 years living in Asia, where he met his wife Mickiy, and where their daughter Amelia (14) was born. Upon returning home eight years ago, their family settled in Novato and their daughter attends Marin School of the Arts at Novato High School.   His hobbies include traveling with the family, mountain biking, cycling, and spending as much time with family and friends as possible.
